Being a Black woman in America has never been easy. Generations of racism, classism, and sexism have forced Black women to become resilient, relentless, and unapologetically powerful. They learned how to survive systems designed to break them, how to put their foot on someone's neck when necessary, and how to turn every obstacle into another reason to rise. They became the women who endure, the women who lead, and the women who refuse to be forgotten.
Veronica Dash grew up with the voices of lionesses in her head-the women who looked like her, fought like her, and survived everything the world threw at them. Their roars became her strength.
They kept her faith alive when her mother died and her father drowned his grief in alcohol. They kept her steady when she found herself thousands of miles from home, staring into the eyes of cold-blooded terrorists in foreign deserts. They kept her mind sharp when the man she loved cheated on her ending their seventeen years of marriage. They kept her maternal instinct alive when she now had to adapt herself and her kids to the new version of parenthood. And when an accident leaves her ex-husband paralyzed from the neck down, those voices keep her heart soft enough to choose compassion when bitterness would be easier.
Veronica Dash has spent her entire life learning how to survive systems that were never designed with women like her in mind. Now she's decided to change one
