"Anything else?" The waiter asked.
"No, that will be all thank you." My father replied. The waiter left and we ate in silence. I was only able to take three bites of my salad before my phone started ringing. It was Mrs. Hopkins. "I need to take this." I told my parents before answering my phone.
"Mrs. Hopkins. What? No! When? Okay, okay I'll be right there bye...

When I got to the apartment complex there were about three police cars parked at the front gate. I quickly got out of the mini cab and made my way up the stairs to my apartment. My heart was pounding when I got to my apartment and I saw that the front door was open and there were police and detectives all over my apartment.
"Excuse me ma'am, you're not allowed to come in here." A police officer said as he tried to stop me from entering.
"This is my apartment, I live here." I explained to the police officer.
"Amber, Amber, oh Amber!!" I heard Mrs.Hopkins yell my name from across the room as she ran towards me. "It's Ethan he's been kidnapped!" she said taking deep breaths between words. 
"I don't know what happened. I fed him, rocked him to sleep and placed him in his crib. Thirty minutes later when I went to check on him, he wasn't in his crib or anywhere, then I realized that the bedroom window was slightly open. I'm so sorry, I'm such an idiot!" Mrs. Hopkins said as she began to cry.
