For Maul's whole life, he's been searching for a true purpose and validation, from being a Sith assassin, crime lord, brother, all of it has ended in failure and suffering. But what if Maul gets another chance for purpose as a father to the son he never knew he had? And that son controlled the final destiny of the Nightsister Clan?
Now it's up to Maul to shape the fate of his people through raising and protecting his only son, -that is if they don't kill each other first.

Anakin Skywalker will not become Darth Vader. Not yet, anyway. Padmé saved him from a lifetime of regret by pulling him out of the fateful battle between Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine. But at some point, he still has to decide if his heart lies with the Jedi or the Sith. Palpatine, undeterred by the loss of his potential apprentice, still devises a way to create the Empire and wipe out the vast majority of the Jedi. He sends various threats directly to Anakin and Padmé to convince them that they and their newborn children are in danger. Fearing for their safety, they split. For years, Anakin and Leia wander throughout the galaxy, dodging the Empire and searching for a greater purpose. Meanwhile, Padmé raises Luke while working with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to lead the fight against the oppressive Galactic Empire. Anakin is constantly tempted by the Dark Side. Padmé struggles to help the Rebels succeed. Their children mean everything to both of them. The story also features other characters we all know and love, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Han Solo, and Boba Fett. Most of the story takes place 7 years after Revenge of the Sith. Please note that I would never change the canon; this story is intended to explore what could have happened, not what should have happened. OCs are used very sparingly. Thanks for reading! What If : The Story Retold
Fresh from the Battle of Endor, Leia finally has time to contemplate the fact Luke is her brother and - more horrifically - her father was the infamous Darth Vader. While everyone is celebrating the definitive end of the Empire, she stays in her quarters and wonders what this effect could have on her. She had just learnt she was the daughter of the most evil and powerful being in the galaxy, her best friend was in fact her brother and that she was capable of the exact same power they both held. That would mess with anyone's head! When she finally rejoins her fellow comrades in the festivities, she finds herself face to face with an old friend of hers. Ahsoka Tano. Being the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, she knew Leia's father well (at least, before he became a tyrant). Ahsoka talked all night with Luke and Leia, telling them tales of the Clone Wars, with Commander Rex joining in to show his admiration of his lost general. What if they could go back and stop the Empire from ever happening? What if they could stop their father from decending into the dark side? What if they could prevent the destruction of the Jedi? What if they could stop the Emperor before he even started? Minor spoilers for Clone Wars, Rebels and possibly Mandalorian. I say minor because it's mostly just easter eggs here and there and the rest you're smart enough to figure out on your own. Led by Grand Emperor Darth Malidictus and his wife, Mother Talzin, the two giant entities bear their fangs, sharpen their claws, and snarl at each other regularly, with the Grand Emperor taking in Refugees that the Galactic Empire, that have been forced out of their homes, only further adding to the tension... Among the two empires, there are many in the Sith Empire that call for war, openly preaching their hatred for the "fakes" and the "false empire" that shames the name "Sith"... One of these individuals, is a man called Kyran Xovia, the son of Grand Emperor Malidictus, and is the prince of the empire, often referred to as "Darth Dreadis", or, "The Black Wind", due to his ability to galvanize people, and his innate darkness that shines through the night sky. Hating the Galactic Empire with a passion that is more fiery than even his own Father's hatred of it, Ky decides to make a stand against it...by joining, the Rebellion. Specifically with a group called..."The Ghost crew". After a mission on Lothal, things start to get a LOT more complicated...for the young Sith Lord... As the Sith code says, "The force...shall set me free"...
If Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) Survived In ROTJ
This story is based on the YouTube video by The Stupendous Wave, detailing what might've happened if Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader had survived the second Death Star (I also added a few extra scenes). The storyline belongs to The Stupendous Wave (except the extra scenes I added), and some of the wording from the original video is also repeated in this "what-if" story. However, I will admit that along the way, much of this short story was morphed into basically Anakin cuddling his children (which was something that I personally wanted to see happen). I know this strays from the original plot line, and I'm sincerely sorry, but I simply couldn't fight the urge to add these extra, "fluffier" scenes. (Again, I'm sorry if you'd rather have read a version that stuck solely to the original Youtube video.) All characters are the property of Disney and Lucasfilm, no copyright infringement intended. -Yes, I know I'm just a beginner at writing, but I really wanted to write this to give Anakin a happier ending, so hopefully The Stupendous Wave doesn't mind me doing this.
