Growing up in Georgia, Jo-Anne had plenty going for her, but she didn't take her chances and grew wasteful of her life. Soon it seemed as if no one cared until her oldest sister Ruthie and her childhood love took no more of her laziness and tried getting her to do something with her life. It was just days after an encouraging lecture, that Jo-Anne found out something life changing about her sister. Searching for options, she realized there was nothing left to do but prove to Ruthie that she could be more. She opens up to the world for the first time since 1936, when she was 10 years old.
