The name's Rosemarie Flume. But I prefer to be called Rose. My mom left me all alone to fend for myself a long time ago, so of course I had to man up and face the fact that life isn't fair. So how did I do that? I got a job. As an assassin. I'm only 18, and not many places want an uneducated orphan teenager working for them. Plus, the pay is good and it has free boarding. All I have to do, is take care of the many contracts John (my boss) has for me and life goes on good, right? Not a chance.

"Who are you?" I asked, still left in the shock and scared state that came over me when gunshots were heard. I look up to his face which was hidden behind a dark shadow and bit my lips as silence fell between us. "Who I am is none of your business," he said in a cold, husky voice that somehow caused me to shiver.
