You know what's really fucked up though? There's people rooting for this tarantula hawk. "It's in their nature," they say, "They can't help it." Circle of life. People actually post youtube videos of tarantula hawks attacking a tarantula and comment shit like "this is so cool" and "isn't nature amazing?" They watch as this parasitic creature attacks and drags the tarantula back to its lair to make it a housewife. Not like the tarantula can do anything about it either. No, it just has to sit there and wait and wait until finally the egg hatches and consumes the tarantula.
And does this effect the tarantula hawk any? No, of course not. All it has to do is drag the thing to its lair and wait. No adverse effects while the tarantula puts its entire life on the table to give to this parasitic spawn. And humans are basically the same.
