One day,
When you think you couldn't
Cry another tear,
You manage to cry some more,
You think that no one,
Not even God can see you.
So you fall in on knees,
You slide down your wall in agony,
And you don't care,
Because no one can see you.

You cover your face,
You don't bother dry tears,
Because they will continue to fall,
You call out to no one,
You scream out in pain,
As the blade drags down,
As the blood begins to drain,
Why?
Because no one can see you.

You grip the blade,
In your shaking hands,
Your head head screams no,
But you can't come to
Understand,
You kick and you scream,
You cry out as you bleed.
Why?
No one can see you.

As you draw one last breath,
The door slides open,
The blade is pulled from your hand,
You are swept into his arms,
You cried and you cried.
Why?

They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one. The first choice I made was to go live off-campus with my grandmother during my first semester in college. I ask myself how could I be so stupid? But you will see just how stupid I was. Or was I?

In the darkness of her dreams, she saw herself standing at a window looking down below, only to see a misting, swirling fog. She could not see the ground and did not know how far down it was. She had no idea where she was. Soon after, she was led down a dark hallway to a room with a large altar. She felt herself being lifted up and then placed back down on the hard stone surface. Now all she could see was a large man, holding a knife in his hands, with the sharp edge pointed directly over her heart...Then a different man with deep blue eyes was looking down at her, and his hand was caressing her face, telling her everything was going to be ok. A loud bang on the door made her startle and rise up. There, coming through the door, were several large angry men, dressed strangely in what looked like animal furs and carrying ominous looking weapons. Some had clubs with sharp objects attached to the ends and others had sharp axes and swords. She could hear her own screams escaping from her lips, and she opened her eyes to notice she was lying in her bed in the safety of her room in the convent where she lived. She was still trembling and had to tell herself it was just a dream. She was safe and no one would ever be able to hurt her.
