From the deep, dark abyss of the Place Beyond the Realms, a great evil is growing slowly yet strongly; an evil Darkness that will destroy and consume everything and everyone from every world out there, more dangerous than any of the many world's worst villains crammed into one. A team of the most evil and powerful villains together have teamed up with one motive - Rule all the universes.
  
  From their secret Council of Magic, great and powerful magical beings from each universe discussed a growing Darkness that each one of them had felt in the great force of magic that stabilised the universe's separation from discovering that each other's dimensions existed. The goddesses Hecate and Te Fiti, the Fairy Godmother, Merlin, the Enchantress, Master Fu, Albus Dumbledore, Princesses Celestia, Luna and Twilight Sparkle, the great Jedi Master Yoda, the Avengers and the Justice League of America decided something had to be done.
  
  Together, these magical entities of the forces of everything good agreed on one thing: they pull all of their separate universes together, and let the heroes of their realms meet each other, make friends and team up to stop the evil from consuming everything in all of the universes that we love.
  
  And YOU are the heroes. YOU have the potential to save us all.

Following the defeat of Bill Cipher and the Legion of Dominance Doom and the restoration of peace to the Multiverse, the Multiverse Defenders are enjoying a peaceful celebration of victory in the multiverse-wide metropolis city of Free World City, where all people come together and known for its urban life and modern technology. But their peaceful celebration will be soon disrupted by a new danger, and things take turn for the worse when a new group of villains led by Miles Axlerod and Professor Zündapp plans a conspiracy to sabotage the security of the city and wipe out the heroes for good with their new dangerous weapon.
