When Tristan and Dana crash (quite literally) into each other's lives, it's hate at first site. But fate has a strange sense of humor because the universe seems to keep throwing them back together. Dana Montgomery lived and breathed through her photography, never being found without a camera in her hand or hanging around her neck. After her mom died she had to quit college to take care of her younger sister, Ivy. Now she goes through life armed with sarcasm and cynicism. Even if she had time between raising Ivy and working full time, Dana can't seem to bring herself to pick up the camera again. Despite an undeniable attraction to Tristan, she initially rejects them. Tristan is the heir to the Kingsley banking empire. Even though he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he's still ruthlessly ambitious and will do anything to get what he wants. So when this random girl has the audacity to stand up to him like no one else does, he is instantly intrigued. In a world of things Tristan can buy, Dana might be the one person he can't have. *** "You're afraid," he stated, stepping closer. "Afraid?" I scoffed, trying to take a step back but meeting a wall instead. He placed his hand on the wall by my head, now so close that I could feel him breathing. "You lost someone and now you're afraid to let someone in again." I opened my mouth to argue, but I realized I didn't have anything to say. His forehead touched mine. "Let me in, Dana."

"A guy isn't going to care if you're laughing with a dude," he said. "You laugh with friends. You do this with someone who is more than friends." Wolf placed his hands on my waist, pulling me in flush with his body. He dipped his head to my ear and whispered, "See? No one that looked at us right now would think we're friends." ------------------------------- When Savannah's long term boyfriend, Tripp, breaks up with her out of the blue before their annual summer lake vacation, she's devastated. Enter Wolf. He's the son of her parents' best friends, who happen to share a connecting lake condo. Savannah hasn't seen Wolf in two years since he stopped coming on family vacations. He's notorious for trouble, the exact opposite of Savannah. Wolf shows up one day and suggests that they pretend to be in a relationship during their two week vacation. He's convinced that his mom's adoration of "good girl" Savannah will change her mind about his recent house arrest. In exchange, Wolf suggests Savannah can use their fake relationship to lure Tripp back by making him jealous. Savannah is hesitant, but is just desperate enough for Tripp's attention that she agrees. Spending time with Wolf on their pretend dates becomes a problem when Savannah begins to have feelings for him. After all, Wolf is off limits. Her best friend has a major crush on him, and Savannah is supposed to be with someone sensible like Tripp, not the lead singer of the high school rock band, Wolf and the Midnight Shepherds. In the end, Savannah will need to decide if falling for Wolf is worth the consequences.
