Icicles and Mistletoe Makayla Monroe came to Vermont for a quiet Christmas. She didn't expect to inherit a farm, or to fall hard for the guarded, gorgeous man running it. Blaise Marino left a dangerous life behind. He doesn't do off limits well, not with Makayla, not when his hand finds hers without permission and the air between them goes thick enough to taste. Then his past finds him. And it wants her too. This Christmas, the only thing more dangerous than the woman hunting Blaise down is what Makayla feels every time he walks into a room.

"Why did you kiss him?" His eyes seemed distant, much unlike his familiar Hazel eyes were a few seconds ago. "Since when do you care who I kiss?" "I don't" he said. It felt like all the butterflies had just died, leaving me with only a faint memory of what it felt like to be in love. We both looked at each other. Both wanting to just hug each other and apologize but our ego won't allow such a thing to occur. So instead of being honest, we acted like we didn't care. But anyone could tell that deep down inside we cared. We cared so much.. Love is a complicated thing when it comes to Makayla McLain and Chris Peterson. Both develop an undying love for the other and through the various troubles life has thrown at them, they always ended right back together again.
