Lucy McKinley was on the edge, and she was about to fall.

Every day was a losing battle against the monsters that had consumed every inch of her mind and her soul. She couldn't drown them out, they never seemed to be silenced or even be made less prominent by anything other than the feel of cold metal against her warm skin or the bitter taste of the pills as one too many slid down her throat. Some people would say she was addicted to the pain, but that was not the truth. She was addicted to the sweet silence that they offered her, regardless of the fact they were very dangerous things to dabble with for only a few hours of relief, she was willing to take it. It wasn't the best release, but it was the ONLY release.

Until she met him.

He didn't only silence her demons. He took them away - or so she thought. This boy became her fairytale, but as everyone knows, every fairytale must come to an end, be it a happy ending or... well, not so much.

Is Aaron Lord the saviour that she believes him to be? Or is he that thing - that tiny little thing - that will push her over the edge?

A heartbreaking tale of a life gone wrong, and a relationship gone worse.
