Dezeray Carters has a close relationship with her parents. That is, until one day when her dad and mom fight and her dad leaves them. With no contact to her dad, and her mom ignoring her, she is on her own.

Enter Ashton Elliot. Bad boy, rebellious. He smokes and has tattoos. He is your typical all around bad boy. He does what he wants. Family life? Its non-existent if you ask him. 

What do these to have in common? Well when Ashton is roaming the dark night streets, and hears Dezeray from across the street crying alone, he feels a connection to her. He feels like he can protect her from the bad in life. 
But can he really? Will life for Dezeray and Ashton finally be okay? Can they make their own defintion of okay together?
