Princess Adeline is next in line for the throne of England, but there is nothing in the world she wants less. Nothing that is until she is uprooted from her uncle's Scottish court and thrust into the world of politics and romance as she is sent to the French court. Life at court is a challenge for Adeline as not only does she have to rebel against her title and attempt to marry for love and not a political alliance, but she is also constantly targeted by assassins. Adeline may not desire a royal life, but she has no choice as she must fight to keep her throne, protect her country, and maybe even fall in love.
