Samantha Villanueva never understood why their mothers pushed her to be close with A.C. Navarro. As children, they were playmates. Sam, quiet and guarded, and A.C., bubbly and full of color, always dragging her into games she never asked for. Sam thought those days were behind her, until fate brings them back together in college. Now, Sam is determined to build her path as an engineer, while A.C. shines under the spotlight, chasing her dream of becoming an actress. Their worlds couldn't be more different, yet their lives keep colliding in ways neither can ignore. What started as forced friendship begins to blur into something far more complicated (something Sam swore she didn't want). But how do you push away someone who feels like sunshine in your darkest days? And when the distance between who you are and who you love grows wider, will you choose to walk away, or hold on, even when it brings you closer than you ever planned?
