Mature
Violence became a normal part of his life. He witnessed-- lived in a world with an angry and controlling man, but he didn't know any better. He didn't realize that the bruises around his throat weren't signs of passionate love. He didn't understand that intimacy shouldn't hurt or that when he was thrown to the floor, grabbed and restrained it wasn't because he deserved it.

After years of conditioning-- years of brutal fists and harsh words, twenty year old model Foster Banks has finally had enough. He's willing to leave everything and everyone behind to escape from the person he loves. But can he really outrun the demons? Or will he continue to be brought to his knees-- haunted by the echoing demands of the man who was supposed to love him?

All he knows for sure is that, this time... things will be different

Rated mature for: Swearing Mature concepts Violence This book is dedicated to everyone who inspired me, encouraged me and stuck by me while I debated giving up on the concept for this book altogether. You all know who you are... I wanted to tell a story that breaks the norm to some aspect. Where the main character is a boy, not a girl. Where he is not perfect. And where he is even a - not bad - but does bad things sometimes. It's a story of coming into yourself and forging your own path. Despite how hard that path can be to walk. Choices you face, how you'll react to them. What to do when you've done something bad and how you can fix it. If you should fix it. Each choice you make - weather you realize it or not - forges the person you are. For every door you close another one is waiting to be opened. This is not a perfect story, but it's one I want to tell. One that comes from a personal place in my heart and one that is born in reality and bathed in fantasy. This story will deal with aspects of both worlds. And sometimes touch on heavier topics. Be prepared, to read about a character who is the farthest thing from perfect. But he doesn't need to be. He just needs to be himself. Oh, how hard that truly is.
