Mickey Hampton is a girl who has never fit in. Typically, some big changes on her sixteenth birthday. She begins to notice some changes in her attitudes, and most are for the better. Her parents seem completely oblivious to what's happening to Mickey - until they send her to a new boarding school. Not just any boarding school; one for teenagers and children just like her. Her parents have no idea what they have just started for their daughter. Mickey used to blend in for the worse, but as what is called the Power-Wielder, Mickey is faced with deciding who she can trust with her life.
