Demons exist, just beyond our scope of reality. They stalk in the shadows and pounce when no one's looking. Pedestrians walk by them and all they feel is a shift in the wind, an invisible touch, or a quick fleeting feeling of unease.  Luckily for those who are oblivious, a supernatural wing of the government defends our realm from certain destructions should the Demons decide to attack as a single unit.

Faerah Killfire was perfectly content with her life of hunting demons and making inappropriately timed jokes. She was skilled, fierce, and gorgeous.... Perhaps a little narcissistic too.

A discovery about herself  leads her  find out more than she ever bargained for. Everything she has ever known was barely scratching the surface to the depths of the demon world. More importantly, its origins and who rules it. The Devil. 

The worst part is that she is left with a single question; what's hidden behind the Obsidian Mirror?

I can hear your heart racing, I can feel your breathing, I can smell your body responding like it's never experienced these sensations before," he whispered, sliding a finger just underneath the band.
