Ivy is sixteen who is slowly turning into a girl filled with anger and bitterness - with each firing hit she comes in contact with from her father, she turns more cold and more distant. She is slowly shutting out the world. All she wants is her life back, she wants her mother to be alive and healthy again. She wishes for her father to stop hitting her and her seven-year old sister Savannah. More importantly, she wants her brothers to come home. Her father sent them away to a boarding school across the country - exactly one months ago. The most hurtful thing is, they don't call her or visit ... they know what is happening to their sisters, but they don't prevent it. Ivy has become rebellious, she has suddenly stopped caring. That is until she meets some people who turn it all around, they make her see herself, they make her care and when Ivy falls in love ... they make her feel it before she ignores it.

People come into the world, they grow old and then they die ... but for what purpose?
