*** Grapefruit is a collection of poetry inspired by  feelings both sweet and bitter from a specific period in my life. It's completed, and I will not be adding any additional poetry to for the sake of maintaining the emotional integrity (no filtering my feelings) of what I was feeling when I wrote every piece here. My fear is that the longer I hold off from publishing this, the more chances I get to pick and edit and back out from my vulnerability.  ***

❝ 𝙛𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 ❞ hi, it's me clara again and this time around i've decided to head forwards a new route in my songwriting- possibly a side of my songwriting you've never seen. you've probably read my heartbreak songs, and that's great, but i've moved on to a new chapter of my songwriting and there's truly nothing like this. i feel like i've begun again, but at the same time i'm going back to the basics. just know this feelings not rare, and i'm still figuring out this coming of age. it's all coming down like the aglow shore of the waterfall, whilst the moonlight reflects their light across. i'm not even trying to be poetic rn, i'm just simply referencing songs that you'll soon see and i'm so excited!! i really do hope you'll enjoy these, just like you enjoyed 'sweet misery'?! i've come a long way since then and there's so much new songs to come! She's a lost soul, searching for Froot Loops in a world of Cheerios. Emotions. Inflicted by words, Creating signals to connect those emotions. A pang in your heart, the dull ache of love, a tedious, meaningless thing to some. The entire thing to others. Confusing, at the least. All consuming, at the most. We bundle it inside, Hide it in boxes, In the deepest crevices of our persona, Then suddenly, it burst free, tumbling into the atmosphere, filling every hour, every moment. Words convey it. Words share it. Through words, our emotions are liberated. Disclaimer: I wrote this throughout the course of a year. It had its ups and it's down in emotion. It ends on a happy note, I think. It has some overdramatic things in which my past self annoys me sometimes. But it also has some good pieces of thought. The world sucks. I can't promise that it's not going to suck, Because it probably always will. But there will be times Where the good in the world Makes it suck a little less.

'i will never stop blooming, like an eternal rose of flame... i may have my times of smolder and small sparks, but i will always become a huge inferno in the end... and nothing can stop me.' She works for Odyssey, a travel magazine based in New York City, New York, where she gets to go on dozens of trips a year to the most beautiful corners on earth to write articles about her journey. When the pressure of her two jobs gets a little too hard to manage, she decided to take a week off in a beautiful town at the beach in Northern Italy. A week full of unadulterated fun and relaxation, with unlimited glasses of chilled Prosecco and gelato cones. Or, so she thought. Her plans are completely ruined when she runs into someone she never thought she would ever see again. Not in person at least. A ghost from her past. Taylor Swift. Thirteen years and the universe decides to throw them together in a random town in Italy. Taylor does not believe that it is a coincidence. Aurora is a little reluctant to believe it. But thirteen years is a hard number for Taylor to ignore and she is adamant on making things right with the writer who finds it hard to forgive and forget all that was said and done thirteen years ago. *** This story is entirely my work of fiction. All characters and fictional places are from my own imagination except for real celebrities. The timeline is not necessarily a hundred percent accurate to Taylor's for the sake of the story and for it to make sense. I hope you enjoy it!
