I gladly present to you a rather short story of a teenage boy with an unusual case of smarts.
This is what I believe would happen if you were to mix a highschool student with Sherlock Holmes mind.
This is not a retell of any of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works. It is of my own creation, even unto the naming of the fictional characters in this story. Now without further ado, I give you the story of Jonny Dale.

I let out another silent whimper as I curled up tighter into myself. When will he stop this time? I already gave up wishing that he would finally kill me. He never has yet. Jace Summers is someone who is always true to himself no matter what anyone else thinks of him, and he's proud of who he is. He has pastel pink hair, stunning deep brown eyes, and a sweet and silky voice that makes all of the girls swoon. Too bad he's gay though. He has been out since seventh grade and is thankful he has never gotten hate for it, not that it would have bothered him anyway. Alec Walker is someone who everyone knows and likes, though he doesn't consider himself to be one of the popular kids. He has brown hair, hazel eyes with the perfect mix of brown and green, and his side profile could make angels swoon. Neither of those two boys seem very different from each other, both are kind, well-liked, and very handsome. Even if they aren't friends, you wouldn't expect them to dislike each other. Well, sadly that is incorrect. Ever since they can remember, they have each hated each other with a burning passion. Jace thinks Alec is a jackass know-it-all, and Alec thinks Jace is annoying and throws his personality in everyone's faces. Those seem like very small or petty things that they could easily overcome by having a conversation, but both are too stubborn for that. It is a mutual hate that neither will give up. But when one day they get news that seems like the end of the world... it turns out to be the best thing that has happened to both of them. (Inspired by my own life story, well not completely) Senior year of high school is already starting off well for Tanner Gray, he's got his whole life planned out, and he can't wait to share it with his best friend and girlfriend. That is until he meets Autumn Blanchard, a shy and mysterious outcast he's known since Freshman year. When he finally talks to her, he learns the reason behind her odd behavior, she's diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. Because of her disability, Autumn couldn't imagine a popular guy like Tanner to be talking to her, thinking it's part of a joke. But when the opposite pair start spending time together, Tanner starts to see a whole new side of Autumn, and at the same time, the two grow closer to each other. But being an Aspie is not easy for Autumn, all she wants is to be normal, but she knows she can't. She has to suffer from her disability every day, while at the same time dealing with the people who see her as the odd one out. But Tanner isn't going to let that happen, he will do anything to give Autumn the Senior year she deserves. This is no normal romantic story, it's different, it's unique.
