Alex Black is 17. He lived a normal life, until his best friend died. Renee Greene is 16. She lived a normal life, until she died. Amber Rose is 17. She never lived a normal life, and she fears she never will. After Renee dies, Alex is brought into a world of death and destruction. He meets Amber, who has lived in that world all her life.
