Ansehlen Galenodel is a young Sylph acting as a high priestess in the primary temple of those devoted to the Elder Dragons. These special Dragons are the select draconic race believed to embody the will of the Gods and maintain order on the world of Bailann. Five are recognized as the forms of the major deities: Aldrel the Great One, Eldrehel the Bringer of Life, Lielhel the Just, Leilehel the Battle Born, and Dalehel the Keeper of Secrets.
Cathan Ghrymm is a handsome Elven man, who is not only Ansehlen's oldest friend, but also a high priest directly in service to the Dragon Eldrehel, the eldest offspring of the Great One.
When Aldrel, suddenly vanishes, it falls to Ansehlen and Cathan to discover the cause of his mysterious disappearance. It is then that they discover a plot that runs so deep the pair may find that they come face to face with the Gods themselves, but will what they find be anything like what they expected? Can they begin to unravel the dark secrets woven into the very fabric of Bailann's existence?
