Hallie Breno is the poster child for perfection. She has amazing grades and never wants to be involved with bad people. That was until she met the quiet guy covered in bruises and dressed in all black in her psychology class. She could see the light in his eyes. Aaron Brolender has a shitty life. Aaron's mom and step dad are sadistic and enjoy hurting him. His only escape is drugs. He's secretly a very nice guy, but he's very insecure about himself. He decided to change, to make himself into a bad boy. It was the really only way to explain the bruises and his flaky personality.
