Dan Howell just moved to a new school in America. His teacher assigns him a "friend" to show him around and help him. That friend is Phil Lester, the only openly gay person in the whole town. Dan quickly becomes the most popular boy in school and his new friends quickly decide that he can't hang out with Phil for the sole reason becaue he's gay. Little does everyone know, Dan's got a few secrets of his own.
