I felt a few tears slide down my cheek. I, too, pulled him in closer and buried my face deeper in his chest.
 
"I'm also sorry about Cole. He's a pig. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. And another thing, please don't tell Liam about this. He threatened to cut off my balls if I ever touch you again." he chuckled nervously.

"Again?"

"It eh... might have to do something with CPR."

"Oh." I decided not to ask. I waited for a while but he wasn't going to say any more.

"Thank you, Bennett," I sighed as I looked up to him with watery eyes. "For everything." He smiled at me with so much empathy and sadness I quickly returned my face to his chest. I felt him press a kiss on my head. 

"Anytime, Ava," he whispered.

Ava had a difficult past, and that's an understatement. A past she only escaped recently with her little brother. She moves to live with her aunt, uncle and her cousin Liam. 

Liam is the school's heartthrob and his girlfriend is the classic jealous bitch. Ava finds that out the hard way, when she ends up in the hospital after only a couple of hours in her new home. 

Will Ava learn to live and love again? Liam seems to hate her guts, his girlfriend and her posse want to make her life hell and Liam's equally popular friends won't seem to leave her alone. Maybe one of them needs her help even more than they both know...
