Mae Avery Iacobs moved to Houston, Texas at the beginning of seventh grade, fitting in perfectly with the flow of new students at her conjoined middle and high school. She got no unwanted attention, which was more than fine for her. But as she grew older, she became more and more popular for the things she did.
