Though the two both voice their relationship is one where saying goodbye is never a real truth, their story becomes fraught with the tragedy of circumstance. In an era where homosexuality was especially vulnerable, Twist and Shout is the story of the love transcending time, returning over and over in its many forms, as faithful as the sea.

Overanalyze - Destiel
Lots of overdoing. Castiel Novak was a 22 years old bass guitarist in a band called "Kings Of Purgatory" with his best friends Dean, Gabe and Benny. The band was gaining popularity and the guys were getting more and more famous everyday; but there was a problem. Cas had been crushing on his fellow band mate for 4 years now. It wasn't THAT bad at first. Yeah, Dean didn't probably didn't share his feelings but he was still there, right next to him, every day; which was more than enough for Cas. Until he, like the flick of a switch, wasn't. Now Cas was overanalyzing, and overthinking; why was Dean being so distant to him all of a sudden? // this is a destiel au (alternative universe) with lots of sabriel on the side. there are no monsters, no demons, no angels, and especially no wendigos *audible wink* in this fanfiction. there are no deaths, no self harm, no triggers I know of, mild swearing, and no smut (except it's hinted). if there is anything that bothers you with this fic, please message me. also if you spot any mistakes or triggers, again, message me. if you would like to leave constructive criticism, please do because that will be very... constructive. I don't know where the original photo from the cover is from, but if it's your edit then tell me and I will credit you or take it down (it's up to you). this story takes place in a fictional town called "Courtney" in California. HUGE thanks to @fcktheimagery who listened to me blab about this story for hours and helped me come up with awesome stuff, and proved to me that Bela isn't blond. I don't think I could've been as proud of this as I am if it wasn't for her. "Cas, it's not going to break." Dean, just to prove it, stomps once, twice, three times against the ice. He even slams both feet down against it just for good measure, laughing when his foot slips and he crashes to the ice. "Dean!" Cas yelps, tears welling in his eyes and hands reaching for Dean. "Cas, I'm fine," Dean assures, moving to stand, eyes locked on Cas. Then the ice breaks, and Dean falls through. The last thing he sees is Cas' horrified face, helpless to stop him from falling before the cold hits him, stabbing the air from his lungs with fingers like knives and stealing every thought in his brain. He was pulled from the water that day, but later, he would remember the exhilaration of the ride and the joy of the laughter and the fear of the fall and the cold of the water, and he would think that that's what loving Cas has always felt like. A constant back and forth of laughter and cold, of warmth and sickness, of love and hate. Loving Cas has never been easy, but falling for him has always been the easiest thing in the world.

"Was there something you wanted to say?" I nodded my head as he tore the tape from my mouth. I had to bite my tongue to stop from hissing in pain, readjusting my jaw as it felt stiff. When I looked up - he was staring at me, his eyes shifting down from my eyes just a few times. His face was close to mine, nose touching nose. "Cas" my voice had cracked, tears making their way back as we leaned in, my lips touch his. They were soft and so... Soft. I could feel sparks of electricity running through me as my lips stung. We pulled away, our eyes stuck on each others. I thought he was going to spare me but when I saw him lift his hand with the sword in it, I knew he wouldn't. The last words I heard him speak was "I'm sorry" before he sliced my throat, darkness closing in. This is not just destiel but has some sabriel +other ships involved This is all my work so don't steal it© I'll be editing soon so be patient (This book is horrible and the plot does not make sense at all. Bear in mind I was 14 when I wrote this)

I love the idea of Destiel, that a human and an angel can move beyond the physical boundaries of the human body, and find something deeper in each other, during a time when they are both ships tossing in a chaotic sea of emotions, and at a time when their lives are absolutely falling apart. They cling to one another, each becoming the other's safe harbor. It's transcends sex, moves beyond the fact that they are both in male form. It is love in its purest form, and it is on a deep and spiritual level. The idea that someone as broken as Dean Winchester can find someone that can see past the darkest parts of himself to the light within and still love him I think is the most beautiful thing on earth. That is what I was trying to write here. I hope those that read it like it. Vote for it if you like it. I will keep adding to it until it is complete, so keep checking back in.
