Mari's POV
Hey my names marinette and I am mute . I have been mute for about 2 years now but it was all because I was self conscious about my voice and had really bad social anxiety so I only talk small words to the people I love . I haven't gotten many friends since I can't communicate with them or anything. I have one friend , he name is alya , she can't do sign language but she still tries to communicate with me and it's amazing .
But I wanted a friend who I could actually communicate to , and can have full conversations with .
And that's when I met him

Marinette would've remained frozen in her spot if it weren't for the surrounding crowd that pulled her up and started to nudge her towards the stage. "No wait! Don't make me!" Although he could've declined, he would never hear the end of it from his father if he had come across as rude at a public gathering.
