As an unforseen trouble arises in the ravine, Whisperwind catches a fish with the scents of five other DreamClan cats; Smallwave, Shrillfern, Silentleaf, logfur, and her brother Fallensky.
They must embark on a dangerous journey to find a special herb that can heal the cats with Maggot-Cough, a deadly disease carried by flies, that makes their victims cough up maggots.
After the cats leave, Whisperwind can't help but follow them and make a decision: loose her brother's trust, or loose her brother altogether.
