I thought I was an ordinary girl. I go to school, help my mom manage the bed and breakfast she owns, and hang out with my younger sister Abby and my best friend Tobin, Everything changes when I met him.
Elijah Derecho, seemed to come out of nowhere, literally nowhere. The first time I have ever laid eyes on him, he comes right up to me and kisses me. Not only that he's telling everyone that I'm his girlfriend. Pretty crazy right?
It doesn't take long for me to find out that there is something different about him. I can't shake off the fact he seems to know me even though I don't know him. I can tell that he believes that we are in love with all his heart. Every time I see him my head knows that he is simply insane, but my heart tells me differently.
The worst of it is, in his disillusions, he believes we are something so much more than human. The more I get to know him, the more I begin to think he's right.

I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
