Ana has a past that Christian couldn't find when doing his background checks. Little did he know he fell in love with someone who also has a lot of baggage. They lived off of honesty and trust, no rules. After they're honeymoon, everything went back to normal. Or, so Christan thought.
Ana starts getting notes, threats from one of her mom's many ex-husbands. Her anxiety and depression came back from when she was only young. The only person knowing the full extent of the abuse was Ray. Ana tries to deal with the threats the best she can, not wanting to concern Christian any more than she has too. But what happens when he catches on? What happens she starts acting fifty shades of fucked up too? Will it be too much for the young couple? Or will Christian help her get through it like she has helped him countless times?

Ana has never been traumatized by anyone,, so when she has nightmares only when she is in Seattle Washington. She can't figure it out and her family has no idea either. A lot of theories are thrown about. Ana is the one who figured out that Seattle is the only place she has nightmares and not all the time. So far she doesn't recall the nightmares other than she wakes up screaming. Her parents are Carla and Raymond Steele. Her older sister Angela lives in Seattle with her husband Barry Davis. Ana has graduated college and is going to move into Angela and Barry's pool house and find work along with being a built in babysitter for her family. Her twin nieces are two years old.
