I was deeply inspired by A Splitting of the Mind, written by shoved2agree. In it, we are told that there was a very dark day in the White House, involving Gerard. We know vague details about it, but we only get some rumors and assumptions on what exactly happened and what was said. We also only hear about it through the retelling of other characters, never from Gerard's point of view. I loved this story so much, I desperately wanted to read what happened that day. So, I did my best to imitate the writing style of A Splitting of the Mind and wrote how I personally think that day played out. ALL credit for my inspiration and the characters used in this goes to shoved2agree!

Also, this story will make very little sense if you have not read A Splitting to the Mind, and it also contains MAJOR SPOILERS. Do not read this first!

8 parts Complete Mature

Following a bruising break up, Gerard and Frank are thrust back into each other's lives, finding themselves reminiscing about their past, raking up all the hurt and pain caused along with some of their happier times. Mature content - Target audience 18+ ---------------------------- "You know" he began with an aggressive tone, "this is the bench I sat at the night I left." From the corner of his eye, he saw Gerard's head snap around. He internally felt smug, knowing he'd caught him off guard. "The night I came home and found you balls-deep in Shaun that is" he narrowed his eyes as he faced Gerard. "Just to clarify." Gerard's face fell. "Frank. Don't!" "Oh I'm sorry. Did I hurt your feelings?" Frank smirked at the fact that yes, indeed, he had hurt Gerard's feelings. But he was more than happy about that. Happy to hurt him in anyway possible. After all, nothing could be as painful as what he'd felt that night. The night his whole world was ripped apart....................
