After her father dies, Emerson Shaw decides to move away from her small Georgia town to California to finish her degree in entrepreneurship. She is struggling with accepting the fact that her father is gone, not knowing who her mother is, and leaving behind the guy she has loved for years. She doesn't expect to fall head over heels for her business professor, and he never thought he would be fighting to keep her for himself.
