"ALEXA!" He yelled from the top of the stairs. His voice was so frightening, it sent shivers down my spine. He was going to kill me if he caught me.

With lightning speed, I yanked the door, but it was locked. A minor setback, but I need all the time I can get. I quickly fumbled with the lock and opened to door, it was a chilly morning and I wasn't dressed for the cold.

"Don't be stupid." He breathed, "Come over to me now, and you won't be punished." I hated the way he said that. I turned around and his blue eyes looked darker than they seemed earlier.

I was frozen to my spot, but so was Rowan. His body took up what seemed to be the entire size of the kitchen doorway.
