Alexei Alekseyevich Sokolov, Alyosha to his family was having one of those rare moments of peace. He's and as President of Russia, he's always got a lot on his plate, but today was different. For once, he was able to just relax with his wife, Elizaveta Andreevna Nikolaeva (Elia), and their three daughters Anastasia (Alya), Marina (Masha), and Daria (Dasha). They were all enjoying a simple picnic, and for a moment, everything felt... normal. Almost like nothing bad could ever happen. Their words hit him like a punch to the gut: "Mr. President, Russia... has been transported to another world." At first, it didn't make sense. Russia's land was still the same familiar as ever. The sky, the air, the terrain it all looked like it always had but something was clearly off. The world beyond their borders was completely otherworldly. The landscape felt wrong, like it belonged to another era a realm born of legend and myth. Was this some kind of enchanted realm? The generals didn't have answers. What they did know was that Russia was no longer where it had been. Russia had been transported to a strange, fantastical world, one that defied all explanation. While the sky above them looked the same, everything around them felt like it came out of an epic medieval tale. The air thrummed with a strange energy and the lands beyond their borders held a mysterious, almost arcane quality. Magic? Creatures from legend? Nobody knew for sure.
Bleak Hearts
Russia... that is where everything started. The perfect snow in winter, the perfect house that kept you warm and cosy, and for Octavia Zorina Radmilla it was the only real home she had even known. She was only sixteen but in 1784 many people were already wed or soon to be, Octavia was one of those soon to be types. A humble rock upon her finger, looping her pale skinned ring finger, with some sort of gold plated metal. Octavia Milo. The name didn't quite seem to fit but what is a name other than a way to identify a body. She would wear the name with pride, knowing she would be the talk of the town for marrying Spyder Dragan Milo. A dark soul, or so it appeared. Ever since the boy had been born something hung over his head like a shadow but that is what made him so wonderful to young Octavia. A curse, a curse with no rules, or at least rules that always changed. No matter how hard the two teens tried, there seemed to be no loopholes. We won't start at the beginning, that won't make sense, at least not this time. Spyder and Octavia were doomed to be this way, living life after life trying to find one another but every time they remembered who they were, they would die... or at least one of them would, leaving the other two options, to continue until their next life cycle or to end it and try again. Of course it is never that simple. Especially when someone keeps changing the rules. The only stable thing they knew, was that they will always remember before they die, whoever had died first the previous life, would be the first to remember. and they would always find each other. April of 1918 the Romanov family finds themselves difficult to adjust to their new isolating life in the small quiet village of Yekaterinburg. Tall wooden fences surround the their new prison, white washed windows so they cannot see the outside. The isolation feels unbearable especially to the young grand duchesses, fear surrounds the family everyday of what will become of their lives, worst of all the new guards are not as polite as they should be. So you went home feeling awful, but your little sister made you feel better. You decide not to listen to the radio for crime, but after a few days you could not help yourself and tune in. To soon go into action after discovering a gang fight was about to go down, where innocents could get hurt. But little to your knowledge, there was already a hero group in the city. This story kind of explains why I have problems finishing stories, u have ideas then it like how do I make them not so cliché or cringe worthy. A short story with a semi finished ending, it leaves me a bit of wriggle room to add to, if I decide to. Any similarities or references are purely for fiction and I did not base this story on anything except if the third world war started. It is fiction people.
