A short story about a psychopathic killer named Midas Gold who has the ability to turn almost everything he touches to gold. Because of his love to kill, Midas faces a group of people trying to stop him and protect those he wants to murder, but Midas can be a pretty creative killer, and it doesn't take him long to come up with a gruesome way to kill one of his most hated enemies.

Midas was born with a curse: The Golden Touch. Everything he touched turned to gold. He never knew why the gods even gave him the curse in the first place, but now, all he can do to keep himself from destructing the world and causing chaos with his abilities is to hide from the world and remain anonymous. There was a way to control his power, but his stress and anxiety keep him from being able to. As a result, all his life he has remained isolated from the world, with no one else except for the gods to guide him throughout life and his daughter, Skye. Then, one day, he goes out into society and accidentally exposes himself in front of everyone. Now, the people know who he is and what he is capable of, and start hunting him down. Many think all he can do now is hide and run, but hopefully he will be able to fully escape this mess and turn things back to the perfect way they were before. This story is honestly become a corrupted/inaccurate portrayal of my headcannons for the characters (don't get me wrong, this was still a pleasure to write), so attached at the end of this book is a chapter called Character Insights/Headcannons that I honestly recommend reading more as it is a non regretful version of this fiction I made that I love. After months of peace from Liam, a strange man visits Maggie and claims he is her biological father. Maggie, excited to have a father again believes him and begins hanging out with him. One day her mother finds out about the strange man visiting her daughter and is worried about her safety. She tries everything to get rid of him, using the police; the people in charge of keeping the citizens safe. But after receiving a strange text, she enlists help of a private institution. The man keeps visiting Maggie over the years. And when Margaret turns sixteen their father gives them a gift that will change their life for the better. Chp. 4 Preview: She was able to see what the paper had on it immediately after taking it from the shelf, and it made her heart immediately drop. Her blood sugar fell, and her face became pale, feeling dizzy. Her heart began racing as she saw me staring at her. The drawing she just found was a realistic depiction of myself smiling at the person who saw it. Unlike myself, who felt joy and inspiration from seeing father draw me this, mother was scared witless. Her legs became jelly, her body was paralyzed. All she could do was stare at the drawing, knowing that no one could have drawn this except an adult. And she knew I did not talk to any adults- or did I? Now she couldn't be too sure. This picture was from someone who knew how I looked, even getting the dimples on my cheeks and small birthmark on the side of my neck. It was someone that had to know me very well.
