She walked towards him, like the serpent in the garden. She touched her finger to his forehead, and leaned into close, "You will become the thing you fear the most; a monster who lurks in the night; a soul lost from its path. You will be blinded by your own fear. As time goes on--and it will go on--you will be trapped by your fear until it consumes you. You will forever be a monster, and you won't be able to stop it." "No," he clamored, "I'll overcome it, I'll fight it every day until I die." "Oh, my dear, you will not die. You will be immune to death--a monster today, a monster tomorrow, and a monster forever. A soul lost from its path can only be led back to the light, it cannot find its own path."' (The Two Curses) ~~ How can a person lead you back to the light when they are as blind as you?Complete
