Smile For Me

In a month's time, Kimura will be heading off to his exchange program overseas, leaving his home in Yokohama. One outing with his friends changed everything. As the cogs and gears of the Cosmo Clock Ferris wheel turned, so did the fate of Kimura, his friends and the young population of modern Japan. Suicide followed one after another, like a plague and with the advent of a rebellious youth organization, Kimura finds himself caught up in the chaos. Little that he knows, he will learn the truth about himself and his past.

This is a fraction of my memory during my days in Japan as a foreign exchange student who was lucky enough to immerse myself with the people and culture there for a year. I am truly grateful for that experience and would love to share it with the world :) The story is based on true locations while I was there and dare I say true people and places, however the story is pure fiction, though it was something that sparked when I was there.
