In a world where hearts are beautiful, mechanical, glowing items, Adrian Treo, An important man with a broken heart tries to find a 'heart-smith', he is shown by a small girl who sells hearts to a place where Daxer Nisbett works as the rare heart-smith.
during the time the heart is being mended, the two males become close, to a point where even one forms feelings for the other, only to have them crushed by the that person, unknowingly. the ending is one which isn't expected.
