After being a witness to a terrible accident, Jewel has to go through therapy to help her forget. When Therapy doesn't work, she decides to get a therapy pet. She ends up getting a female pied cockatiel named Cockatiel. Jewel hasn't told her family about this, and then she finds out that the family reunion is next month. she thinks of ways to explain the pet, to explain her injuries, to explain everything. When her close friend askes how she met Cockatiel, she knows something was up. After telling her, her friend then turns against her and tells her twin, Kathryn. Kathryn then in turn tells the rest of the family, causing outrage within the family, but Jewel doesn't know that. Can Jewel fix her family before it falls apart before her? Will Jewel fix it before her family starts killing? Will Jewel become a witness to her family's kills?
