The world of magic is mysterious, often working in unknown ways. In the land known only to the elementals, they once lived in peace, their magic helping the land flourish and grow.

All that has changed. The humans have found the ancient spell that bound the elementals to them, and they are using it to destroy their world. They are renowned for their abilities and are now being hunted and enslaved to the point of extinction.

Isla is one of the few elders of their world, a woman with a long memory, and even longer grudges. The mage who foolishly summons her, merely for curiosity, is in for a big surprise. She is fierce and stubborn, refusing to allow him to control her.
Despite himself, Korith finds himself intrigued by the dark-skinned woman, and begins to dig deeper into the true history of the elementals.
What he finds is utterly unexpected, and changes his whole world.
