When a young book lover, Sang Sorenson, finally escapes from her abusive 'family' with nothing but a bunch of animals and runs into The Academy she's immediately taken into their custody, going from one team to another until she's dumped with the Blackbourne/Toma Team.

The boys, none to happy about babysitting some girl, quickly take an interest in the country ghost bird that has brought on trouble and plenty of challenges. But with the Ashley Waters Mission they learn quickly that the country bird isn't all they thought her to be.

When Sang meets the guys she's flabbergasted, she is quick to recognize their appearance and names, although she never meet them in real life, she has dreamed quite a bit about them though.
