For NaNoWriMo. Jerusalem. Was there ever a city more bloody? For millenia, men have sought it, fought for it, killed for it, and died speaking its name. In an era where things seem to change overnight and a technology "generation" does not last beyond a few years, that is one thing that has not changed. But one entity seeks to change that. Under the sidewalks and asphalt of modern Jerusalem, the manifestation of the city is buried. Since the foundation of the city it has witnessed unending suffering and pain caused because of Jerusalem. And most of all, it has felt the hate the holiest of cities has engendered in the hearts of mankind. And it will have no more. It will utilize that hate to burn Jerusalem to ash, so that it can rise again and fulfill its destiny, as a city of peace and unity. Yaron Elimelech is a religious Israeli right-wing journalist who is on a holy war , as it were, to enshrine Israel as the State of the Jews only, fully in control of all the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He hates all those who would not fit in that vision. But to save the holiest city of his faith and people, he must cooperate with a Palestinian police officer and finally let go of his hate. For otherwise, where once Jeremiah, Jesus, and Saladin walked, there will be only radioactive ash borne away on the burning winds. TL;DR alert for first chapter. As this is for NaNoWriMo this is pretty much a first draft so not too good. Plot holes may appear. Feedback is welcome.
