One's mind that was once full of memories, love, laughter, tears, and pain is now wiped away.

One's choices may have taken away all they have known, everything behind them. Gone.

One's happy laughter cannot be heard.

One's meaningful tears cannot be shed.

One's contagious smiles cannot be shown.

One is just not themselves anymore, does not feel the way they used to, but only because-in those few moments of being awake-is all they ever know.

One can talk, one can comprehend, but one cannot remember.

This explains Adrianna Porter's life.

Once upon a time, this young and happy teen had the life someone her age could ever dream of. Scholarships in music, art, and sports. A boyfriend of five years, her first kiss, her first person to give her virginity, her everything. A very loving father and stepmother, with one blood sister and two twin stepbrothers.

Adrianna is living a magical dream, but reality soon crashes down on her as she graduates from highschool. She knows what is to happen when she goes to college, she knows the decision she needs to make.

Leave or stay.

But when she picks her choice, how will the consequence affect her?

.

"Goddammit! If she would never have gotten on that fucking plane!" Tears streamed my face, my hands shaking in the balls I'd clenched them in. I glanced to the floor, the various pieces of my home phone scattered across the kitchen floor in my blurry view.

"Perry," Adam placed his hands on my shoulders, stopping me in my tracks of pacing as I let more tears fall. "She's gonna be a alright, she was the only survivor."
