Hailey Clarkson is a regular 16-year-old girl. She lives in Central London, goes to school, hangs out with her best friend Phoebe, has an older brother Aiden and has a boyfriend, Kaelan. Pretty normal, right? Until the two break up. After dating for 5 months, Hailey breaks up with him but they stay on good terms, deciding to remain friends. She thinks it’s all over, but couldn’t be more wrong… She starts getting strange messages from Kaelan, proclaiming his love for her and begging her to take him back, not at all like him. Hailey hears rumors of her sweet, kind and caring ex getting into fights, getting excluded from school and going crazy but lets them pass, deciding not to believe them. About a year later, Hailey goes to Thorpe Park for her 17th birthday, where she meets Alex. They start hanging out, as friends getting closer over the span of a few months. Alex eventually asks her out, and of course she happily accepts. Hailey is happier than ever, but things begin to go downhill… Kaelan finds out about her new boyfriend and becomes obsessive, stalking and threatening to hurt Hailey and everyone close to her. And that’s only the beginning.
