After the murders of his best friend Jet Star and beloved younger brother Kobra Kid, Party Poison built a reputation as one of the strongest, most wanted, most dangerous Killjoys in the Zones. He takes on BL/ind alone, fuelled by his thirst for vengeance. The walls built around his heart are impenetrable; he can't let anyone close again. No-one else can die because of him.
One day, however, he meets Battery City runaway Fun Ghoul, who reminds Poison that affection is a strength, not a weakness. But Poison knows what BL/ind would do if they discovered anything, or anyone, that could lead them to him. He won't risk Ghoul's life... especially not since he's started to care for him.
Party Poison's got a bulletproof heart, but Fun Ghoul has a hollow point smile. In a world where emotions are forbidden, and attachments just lead to more deaths, who will be the ones left standing?

The year is 2019, and Better Living Industries has taken over the only part of the world that survived the 2012 Great Fires: Battery City, California. We have a girl named Lucy, 18 years old, whose parents are managers high up in the ranks of BL/Ind. She, however, has differing desires: she wants to run away to the desert and meet the Fabulous Killjoys. One day, she does... and her life is saved by none other than Party Poison, Kobra Kid, Fun Ghoul, and Jet Star when her parents find her running away and they use force as a means of bringing her back home to live under their controlling and toxic environment where she hid so well the fact that she never took any of the pills. She changes her look to express herself as she's always wanted, and gets a new name and starts a new life as: Fireball Frenzy. When Fireball is adjusting to and living this new life, what happens?
