It is based primarily on the storyline from AMC's The Walking Dead, and uses the characters and relationships from the show. It begins just before the first battle with the Saviors (the end of season 7 of the show), and assumes the storyline follows Robert Kirkman's comic going forward. If you are not a reader of the comic, there may be some Season 8 spoilers here if the show follows the book closely. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.
