For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. This was fully uploaded on Wattpad in September 2013 for safekeeping. I hadn't gotten back to it in so many years nor find any means and time to promote it. Teenage boys and girls get many chances to fall in love over and over again. They fall in love and overcome from that love very easily. In this phase of life break-up does not hurt much. Friends become happier when someone gets dumped rather than when they get their love. Love rivalry is also very common between classmates and friends. When someone starts feeling for someone, friends become happy. They expect to see a failure. They encourage them but also warn them saying, "Tera Bhi Katega," or "You Too Will Get Dumped." I take the name of this series from a very common phrase of teenagers. In this series I will share some unsuccessful love stories. Don't expect happy ending and don't be sad. These stories are short and crisp just like potato chips. Take these stories lightly as there is nothing wrong in getting dumped or rejected by your crush. These life experiences make the young generation world ready. This series is mainly for BL flash fictions. These stories are unrelated to each other. For my convenient I used seven main characters in this series but they may or may not be the same persons in different stories. There would be no character description as the character of a teenager would change with each passing year or after each failure in love. Enjoy them as they are. The phone is ringing. But Tanvi was too scared to answer the call. She was not ready to talk to him or even hear his voice. She wanted to run away from the present, but she couldn't evade her present. She hadn't talked to him for the past week, and he had called her a number of times. That day itself, he called 5 times. So, finally, with trembling hands, she answered the phone to tell him the truth. "Hello," he said as soon as Tanvi answered the call. Tanvi voice was shaking she didn't know what to say. But she mustered her courage somehow and said, " Please don't contact me again. I know I have played with your feelings without knowing who you actually are. I know I have committed a terrible mistake, or I guess, a sin by doing this, but now I want to end this for once and for all. I don't think you can understand me and forgive me, but the only explanation I say to you is that I am really sorry." He remained silent all this while and did not utter a word. He came to realize that nothing more was left for him to talk. He disconnected the call as soon as she finished her monologue. Tanvi, a +1 student, decided to attract her crush indirectly gets his phone number and starts talking to him anonymously. Initially, she got rejected, but later, earns his trust and friendship. Slowly their friendship reached another level through their sweet phone calls. Then, the real truth came out. He was not the crush whom Tanvi imagines him to be. So what would Tanvi do? Would she ever meet the person with whom she developed such a relationship? Would that person ever want to meet Tanvi after knowing that she played with his feelings, knowingly or unknowingly? Could they be together? Let's see what fate has to do with both of them. A simple love story with its own twists and turns. This is my 1st story. Her character took on a new phase as she shut everyone out. She focused on her books and topped the class leaving both her best friend and Paul running after her. With her new cold and indifferent attitude, she barely noticed a particular someone who had eyes on her since forever. But she never noticed him. Meet Adeleke Jeremiah, Boston International College, social prefect. Tall, lean and he had an amazing athletic build. He played football too and the whole female population had eyes on him but Jeremiah enjoyed being low profile. What on earth that attracted him to his one year junior;he couldn't decipher it at all. I felt myself become flustered at his gaze. "Uh, Yeah, Thanks." I stumbled out, "You're not mad?" I ask. His expression turns to hurt as he crinkles his eyebrows. "Why the hell would I be mad?" He asks, hesitating on the crackers and pushing them away. "I just thought-it's just- well... you just always seem so pissed when someone mentions the word gay." I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes. I look away, towards the door to hide the crimson blush that I feel spread over my face. "Thanks." I all but squeak out.
