How would you feel if you were completely disowned? Purposefully put into foster care because your parents couldn't take care of you? Orphaned by choice, not by accident?

That's exactly why Adeline hates everything she thought she once knew.

"She threw me away. She told me she didn't want to take care of me anymore. She said she couldn't do it." A tear slipped down my cheek.

"Well then she's right to have done that." He says. I look up in surprise and hurt. "She doesn't deserve you, Adeline."

As he took a step towards me, he lifted a hand to my cheek to wipe away the tear.

"Don't cry. You're beautiful, smart, funny, and caring. Your personality could never compare to anyone else's. Don't ever let what that women who raised you as a child affect oh in any way."

I couldn't help but let the edges of my mouth twitch upwards in a slight smile. "Thank you."
