"I awoke to the sounds of my parents fighting in the living room. I knew this would not end well as it rarely did. This was my only chance to leave before they directed their anger onto me as they did on countless occasions. Gathering what I could of my immediate belongings and necessities I opened my bedroom window and pushed the screen out, as it fell into the wet grass I looked back at my room, possibly for the last time. I didn't own very many things because my parents didn't care about my wants and very little about my needs. I looked back out into the dark of the night and jumped, once on my feet I started running and didn't stop, I didn't care about the rain or the cold. I wanted nothing more than to be free of the abuse my parents inflicted on me."

What happens when her closest neighbor, Everette, is her only hope for that of fixing a tractor? Connections start to be made and relationships start to form. Friendships? Or more? That is the question for them. Can their relationship be strong enough to help heal wounded pasts. Trust forms in both of the new found lovers. Can their love be strong enough for them to overcome the power of Ross (husband) He's coming back and he plans on fulfilling his plans and being true to his word. He wants Juliet dead. Not only have I never seen him before in my life but everyone in our town always wears nice clean and washed clothes, therefore nobody should be looking like him. The boy has a small cut on his cheek and is thin, a lot thinner than he should be. I look away from him and around at my surroundings, there is no one else here. I regain my composure and look at him again. That's when he says something that makes my blood run cold. "Run."
